Hello! I am a self-taught, amateur photographer who loves nature photography and abstract photography. I grew up in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains just an hour or so from the nation's capital. My love of wildlife photography comes from my mother's love of the backyard biome. As a kid I was always surrounded by urban wildlife like squirrels, finches, and cardinals. We took many trips to the National Zoo and in high school I got my first digital camera. 

Since then I've traveled to the San Diego Wildlife Park, several places in Baja California, and now reside in Merced, CA, a short drive from the Merced National Wildlife Refuge.
